The impact of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl is so much more intense than any other game of the year — and why I always think past Super Bowl experience is so critical. If you act like it's "any other game," that's gotta be the moment you realize it isn't.

I would run through a brick wall for Reba

Nobody is ever likely to top Whitney Houston's epic anthem performance from 1991, the golden standard to which all other renditions of the song are compared. And Aretha Franklin brought the house down in 2006.

But McEntire brought her own spin to the performance, with her famous country twang and charm adding personality to the song. It was ultimately a fairly straightforward and snappy rendition, which is never a bad thing.

Still hit the over, though.

That was an efficient national anthem.

And now, it's time for the football.
